Serena Nelson '12

Voice Part: Alto

Hometown: Gardena, CA

Major: Theater spelled the American way.

Officer Positions: Business Manager 11S - 12W

Serena is a very interesting specimen. She enjoys many activities, including Sudoku, Buchos Buchos Gales, knitting, and acting. She loves Foco Chick Nugs (especially now that Foco is remodelled), but not as much as she loves cats. (She has two at home). Serena is a theater major. She wants to become a successful actress both on the stage and the screen (AKA she wants to be Ian Mckellen). Serena is currently involved with Haven Homework Club, the Dartmouth Outing Club and Christian Impact.

Bobby Arao '13

Voice Part: Tenor

Hometown: Tokyo, Japan

Major: History

Officer Positions:Tour Manager 2010-201, Visual Arts Coordinator 10S - 12W, President 12S - Present

Bobby began and spent the majority of his life in the sprawling metropolis of Tokyo where he learned how to J-walk and pretend not to speak Japanese to get himself out of difficult situations. His extended family, living in the "incredibly rural" Long Island New York, deemed him the "cityboy" and constantly made fun of his inability to the mow the lawn correctly. To spite them, Bobby decided to change his corrupting city ways and devote his life to serving the community as the local scarecrow at the Dartmouth Organic Farm (refer to photo). When Bobby is not scaring crows, he is saving lives (or trying to) with Dartmouth EMS and watching episodes of 30 Rock and/or LOST on hulu. While he doesn't approve of people calling him "Robert" or "Robby," he's impartial to "Bob" and prefers "The Araoza."

Trisha Murphy '13

Voice Part: Soprano

Hometown: West Hartford, CT

Major:Philosophy, because she likes to think.

Officer Positions: Tour Manager 2010-2011, Alumni Chair 12S - 13W

Trisha decided to move to New Hampshire after concluding that Hartford just wasn't 'G' enough. She also had to look up 'G' on Urban Dictionary to confirm what she thought it meant (gangster) and found out that she was absolutely right. Anyways, when she isn't being recognized as the less famous twin ("Ohhh you're LUKE's sister!") or coping with food guilt after a pavilian/froyo combo run you can find her belting showtunes (daniela and she hope to break glass with their high ranges some day), snuggling (she loves hugs like junkies love drugs), or skipping in the dark. She also holds a vendetta against slow walkers (sluggish people, watch your back!).

Priscilla Nguyen '13

Voice Part: Alto

Major: Classical Languages and Literatures; Mathematics

Officer Positions: Business Manager 10F - 11W

Salutations! Priscilla sings, writes, studies Classics and foreign language, makes food, intends to go on runs, and sings some more. Her lifetime goals include extensive traveling, absurd fame and wealth, and becoming a real-estate tycoon (like Donald Trump, but less of a jerk). You can tell Priscilla hails from the City of Angels.

Michael Berger '14

Voice Part: Tenor

Hometown: Atlanta, GA

Major:Environmental Science

Minor:Public Policy

Officer Positions: Tour Manager 2011-2012, Business Manager 12S - 13W

Michael Berger grew up in the south, where he learned how to be a gentleman and what a good banjo sounds like. Berger uses his spare time to investigate forests and to watch movies he's already seen a hundred times to look for new meaning. Michael enjoys arabic, chinese, mexican, american, and indian food in moderate quantities. He enjoys playing racquetball, taking long naps, and stalking the profiles of other Sings. For more information, please contact Michael's agent / personal secretary, available exclusively through Facebook chat.

Isa Francisco '14

Voice Part: Alto/Beatbox

Hometown: Bangkok, Thailand /The Philippines

Major:?

Officer Positions: Tour Manager 2011-2012, Visual Arts Coordinator 12S- 13W

Isa Francisco Maria Regina Mariana de Puerto is a small Panamanian (or Peruvian, or Filipino or Puerto Rican depending on what day of the week it is) who came to America to be a star. Small but spunky, Isa makes up for her tiny, almost microscopic size with her big dreams: To one day grow up big and strong like the lumberjacks that she has heard inhabit the woods of the new, mysteriously cold world she finds herself in. Always with her trusty monkey hat and enormous red coat (that doubles as her bed and sometimes kitchen), Isa spends her spare time starring on Glee, doing beautiful YouTube ukulele covers with her brilliantly talented and handsome a cappella mate Ryan Frank Hueston, and watching Matilda with her fellow 14's, saying absolutely every line before it comes out of the actor's mouths. Isa currently splits her time between sleeping in Rianna Starheim's bed and walking to her home in the River, uphill both ways with no shoes through the snow, with nails underfoot.

Ryan Frank Hueston '14

Voice Part: Tenor

Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Major:Studio Art

Ryan Frank Hueston was born in an enormous, dilapidated victorian mansion in Montgomery, Alabama. Perhaps that's the reason he turned out the way he did, the world will never really know for sure. An avid photographer/ painter/sketcher, Ryan spends much of his time wondering exactly what it is he is doing at Dartmouth College, for he spends most of his time sleeping through classes and yet somehow getting all of the work done? He enjoys psychotically early breakfast dates, drinking coffee at midnight, going stargazing at 3am and layering a bed in layers of white blankets and sheets and then promptly throwing his body on top of it. Ryan currently hopes to one day open a bed and breakfast where every room is decorated in a different decade, or be a 1940's diner waitress. He's good with either.

Victoria Fox '15

Voice Part: Alto

Hometown: Gig Harbor, Washington

Major: Arithmancy

Officer Positions: Tour Manager 2012-1013, Webmaster 13S - Present

Despite being born and raised in Washington, Victoria generally dislikes being out of doors (disregard the picture of her on a mountain). She prefers to stay holed up inside, sewing renaissance clothing and studying obscure foreign languages. Victoria loves her family, her friends, her two cats, and her three-foot-long hair. Some of her hobbies include eating gummy candy, quoting Zoolander, learning new dance moves (her repertoire currently consists of shuffling and the worm; clearly she needs a few more), and spouting little-known facts about the fictional world of Harry Potter. And she likes singing, obviously. Sometimes operatically, but only when she's home alone.

Ling Jing '15

Voice Part: Soprano

Hometown: Nanjing, China

Major: Biology Modified with Anthropology

Officer Positions: Musical Director 12s - 13W

Ling Jing grew up far, far away and spent much of her childhood falling down hills, eating Ferrero Rocher chocolates, and being told that her name rhymed. When not admiring cats or appreciating the aroma of paper, Ling reads tragic novels, takes naps to the soothing background noise of action movies, studies genes, and is perpetually haunted by nostalgia. She also enjoys getting lost on long hikes, learning languages, watching sunrises, and spending time with her metallic friend Flo the flute.

Emily Lacroix '15

Voice Part: Soprano

Hometown: Canaan, New Hampshire

Major: Chemistry modified with Environmental Studies

Officer Positions: Tour Manager 2012-2013, Business Manager 13S-Present

It's been said that Emily has a lot of feelings. She also has a lot of nicknames thanks to her many friends, grandmothers, and her extremely French last name: AP Chemily, Lulu, Croissant, LaCroissant, Emmylou, Em, Emmy, Lulubelle, Emily Lacrizzle, Emilemily, and the Sing's simple favorite, Lacroix. When Emily isn't performing with the Sings, she can often be found biking, hiking, running, knitting, listening to Sufjan Stevens, re-enacting Broadway scenes, and having wild solo dance parties in her room.

Hannah J.F. Perry '15 (ハナ・ペリー)

Voice Part: Soprano

Hometown: Waterville, ME

Major: Linguistics and AMELL with a concentration in Japanese

Hannah is a nerd. If she hasn’t locked herself away in her dorm room studying Japanese manga with her furry companion Totoro and her electronic dictionary, you can probably find her in King Arthur Flour sipping on blueberry tea while observing strangers’ conversations for future linguistic study. However socially challenged she may be, don’t be afraid to approach her – she’ll respond to Perry-san or Hana-pe. And don’t be alarmed if she introduces herself with a full 90-degree bow and a “douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu.” Having recently returned from her amazing summer experience in Tokyo, she may not realize that she’s back in America. Hannah loves to sing, especially in the Sing Dynasty. Because singing a cappella with such a fantastic group of people is a dream come true.

Elise Croteau-Chonka

Voice Part: Alto/Soprano

Hometown:

Major: Biomedical Engineering

Elise loves singing, The Muppets, science-y things, laughing, and being organized. Ask her where she sees herself in ten years and she'll say: "Studying the mating rituals of fiddler crabs out near the Atlantic"...HA, just kidding; that sounds boring. In actuality, she'll be doing engineering things. But until then, you'll undoubtedly find her giggling off in a corner somewhere.
