From the 2001 Summer President:

Celebrating Sig Ep's 100th anniversary in Washington, D.C., this past August at the 47th annual Conclave was a once in a lifetime experience for Allan Klinge '02 and myself. The strength and commitment of our national organization was astounding, and the celebration they put on for us, complete with a laser show at the Warner Theater and an awards gala at the National Building Museum was very impressive.

More than any expensive dinner or cocktail party we attended, we enjoyed meeting with all of our brothers from around the country and the advisors who make the national organization work. Winning our second Buchanan Cup for Outstanding Chapter Operations, the New Hampshire Alpha Chapter received a lot of special attention, including meetings with several of the past Grand Presidents. Bruce Hasenkamp '60, a former Grand President of the National Chapter, was instrumental in showing us around and advising us in a course for our future.

Keith Jacobson '97 who made the trip down from New England assisted us in developing a strategy to improve our physical plant, and Adit Beri '00, Dave DiPetrillo '00 and Andrew Louis '00 put out the red carpet for us at their apartment in Arlington. We hope you will join us at the next conclave in San Antonio in 2003!
