Mission Statement
Security Studies mission is to publish high quality scholarship from a multi-disciplinary perspective
on questions dealing with the political, social, cultural, or economic causes or consequences of the threat
or use of military force. We seek articles that develop, test, and debate theories of international security,
broadly defined. Because the journal is open to longer submissions, prospective authors can develop theory and test
it in the same article. While articles published in Security Studies are relevant to pressing real-world issues,
immediate policy-relevance is not a criterion of acceptance.
