Churchill Scholarships
The Churchill Scholarship provides one year of support for a postgraduate degree in the sciences, engineering, and mathematics at the University of Cambridge. The Scholarship covers all University and College fees (£11,000- (£13,000), a living allowance (£10,000 -£12,000), a travel and visa allowance (up to $1,200), and the possibility of a Special Research Grant ($2,000) for a total of ±$33,000-$41,000 (depending on the exchange rate). Fields include but are not limited to: Biochemistry; Biological Anthropology; Chemistry; Clinical Biochemistry; Computational Biology; Computer Science; Earth Sciences and Geography; Engineering; Epidemiology; Genetics; Mathematics (Applied, Theoretical, and Statistics); Pathology; Pharmacology; Physics (Experimental and Theoretical), Astronomy, and Astrophysics; Physiology, Development, and Neuroscience; Plant Sciences; and Zoology. Programs in engineering include two terms of courses, and a third term of research concluding with a thesis and an oral examination. The programs in mathematics and theoretical physics are based entirely on courses and final written examinations.
At least fourteen Churchill Scholarships, tenable for nine or twelve months, depending on the academic program, are offered annually.
