Jack Wilson


Adjunct Assistant Professor of Studio Art

Jack Wilson is Adjunct Assistant Professor of Studio Art and teaches Architecture I, II and III; introductory, intermediate and advanced architectural design. Jack is an architect and Associate Director of Planning, Design and Construction at Dartmouth. He is responsible for supervision of campus planning as well as project development, architect selection & design review for large scale capital projects. Jack is chair of the Campus Planning and Design Committee, a member of the college’s Resource Working Group and has recently written a set of building performance guidelines for Dartmouth.

Recent professional activities related to building performance and sustainability issues include presentations and papers presented at the national conference of the American Institute of Architects, the New Hampshire AIA Conference, Efficiency Vermont, the US Green Building Council’s national conference, the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association conference and the Society of College and University Planners. Other recent work related to building performance includes audio and video collaborations with composer Larry Polansky on sound and images associated with buildings and their occupants.

Jack holds an AB in Art from Vassar College and a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He lives in Hanover NH with his family Anne, Eleanor and Julia.
