- One point of entry and exit.
- A fenced in area or other means to restrict people from entering and
exiting the event except at the designated entry/exit point.
- Extra members of the organization working the event to ensure that people
and/or alcohol are not entering or exiting the event over the fence.
- As with all events, there needs to be sufficient staffing by SEMP-trained
members of the organization at the entry point to check IDs, issue wrist bands
to those guests of age, ensure that no alcohol is being brought in or out of
the event, and ensure that guests are not arriving or leaving inebriated.
- Alcohol service needs to be at a single location and, as with all events,
alcohol service needs to be done by SEMP-trained members of the
organization. If possible, the location where alcohol is being served
should be inside an adjoining facility like inside the organization’s house,
for example.
- Pong tables are not permitted outside, even for water pong.
- As will all events, the focus needs to be social and the sponsoring
organization should provide sufficient and appealing food and non-alcoholic
beverages.
These are only guidelines to follow for an outside event. Also
remember it is require to have an exception for an
outside event.
