The Collis Center & Student Activities Office coordinates and organizes
many annual events for students on campus. In addition to the events described
below, this section of the web site also provides detailed information on:

First-Year Orientation
A new beginning is always refreshing, but nothing is as invigorating to
Dartmouth as each year's addition of the new first-year class. Departments from
all over the College work together for ten months to make the week of
orientation a warm, welcoming, informative and fun reception for the new
students.
Homecoming Weekend
Over 10,000 members of the Dartmouth family gather on the Green each fall
for Dartmouth Night, the focus of Homecoming Weekend.
The night begins with a parade through town, followed by a pep rally in front
of Dartmouth Hall and then it's on to the lighting of the massive bonfire built
by the first year students. Saturday is a great day of athletic events that
vary by year but always include a home football game.
Senior Symposium
The seniors spend fall and winter terms planning their Senior Symposium, an
exciting academic gift to the College. The theme varies each year but the 3-day
spring term event is always packed with provocative experts who serve on panels
and debates across campus.
Green Key Weekend
Not to be confused with the Green Key Society, a junior honor
society, Green Key Weekend is our College spring weeked for
outdoor fun. Planned by students, the events vary from year to year but usually
include outdoor bands, barbecues and athletic events.
Graduation Gala
Held each year on the night before Commencement, the
Graduation Gala is a party at the Collis Center for all graduating
students and their guests. The Gala includes dancing, student performers of all
sorts, and light desserts. The Gala is suitable for all ages.
