Hazing Policy

ALL student organizations are responsible for making sure that the activities they do are absolutely voluntary and do not constitute hazing. Everyone wants to have fun and sometimes enthusiasm can lead to bad decisions for student organizations. Officers should take special care to familiarize themselves with the hazing policy that is in the Student Handbook.

You are encouraged to come to Collis Center & Student Activities Office to ask questions about a proposed activity if you have any reservations at all about its suitability and legality. That's right, hazing is against the law. One quick test you can ask yourself about a proposed activity is, "Would I be comfortable with all of the parents of the participants finding out about what we did?" If in any doubt give us a call and ask.
