Tech Charges

The Collis Center for Student Involvement supports Student Organization events with free use of venues and a high threshold of uncharged Tech support.

• We will provide up to 8 work hours of free tech support (i.e. 2 techs working for 4 hours each) after which the Organization will be charged at the rate of $15/hr. In addtion, Student Organizations will recieve up to 4 hours of Professional staff support before charges kick in (at the rate of $30/hr).

Departmental events that are student-focused are charged for the use of the room ($75 of CG, $75 for Tom Dent, $50 for FUEL etc.) and have a lower threshold of uncharged Tech and Professional support.

• We will provide up to 4 work hours of free tech support (i.e. 2 techs working for 2 hours each) after which the Organization will be charged at the rate of $30/hr. In addtion, College Departments will recieve up to 2 hours of Professional staff support before charges kick in (at the rate of $60/hr).

Departmental events that are not student-focused (i.e. attended by mostly students) are charged for the use of the room ($75 of CG, $75 for Tom Dent, $50 for FUEL etc.) and are charged for all Tech and any Professional support that is out of the ordinary.

• The Collis Center for Student Involvement will not provide free tech support to Departmental events that are not student-focused. The Department will be charged at the rate of $30/hr. for Tech labor from the beginning. College Departments will recieve a reasonable amount of Professional staff support (i.e. the reservations process, consultation on event setup, diagramming etc.) but will be charged at the rate of $60/hr for anything out of the ordinary (i.e. multiple setup changes and alterations, onsite professional support, extraordinary cleanup or room reconfiguration etc.)

Outside Customer events have a completely different room charge and tech charge structure.
