With all the trauma that the Mid-Session Review has inflicted on my co-bloggers, I should be thankful to be on vacation in Mexico this week. I've noticed two things on this trip that surprised me:
1) Compared to Newark, the airport in Mexico City was clean, civilized, and run with impressive efficiency. This carries over into other areas where having a relative abundance of available labor means less waiting time and very good service.
2) In Spanish, little children are not introduced to Sam-I-Am in the Dr. Seuss classic, but to a fellow named Juan Ramon. Because, of course, his name must rhyme with Huevos Verdes con Jamon. And the story is just as good in another language.
As you can tell, blogging will be light over the next week.
