Dartmouth's National Title Campaign Ends at Elite 8
Sunday afternoon the Dartmouth Rugby Football Club’s run at the National Title was ended by a powerful Penn State side. The team came out on the short side of a 63 – 0 score that did not reflect the skill and desire of the inspired Dartmouth side. Penn State’s defense was a force to be reckoned with and constant pressure made execution difficult. The day ended the season for a paramount class of seniors that has enjoyed one of the most successful years in Dartmouth history. After opening the Corey Ford Rugby Clubhouse, the team was runner-up in the Northeast, Ivy-League Champions, and is now one of the top 8 teams in the nation. It has been a privilege playing on the pitch with these gentlemen for the past four years under the tutelage of our inspired head Coach Alex Magleby. The team is strong—full of promising athletes and fueled by a positive culture. The new regime looks to continue the DRFC’s tradition of success tomorrow in a match at Norwich University at 5:30 tomorrow. Yours in Rugby,
