Workers' Compensation

All Dartmouth employees are covered by Workers' Compensation Insurance under the provisions of the Workers' Compensation Law of New Hampshire. This insurance covers necessary medical expenses and provides a weekly benefit for lost time from work due to an accident or an illness related to employment. Weekly indemnity benefits are calculated based on the gross pay for the immediate 26 weeks prior to date of injury. The calculation is 60% of a 26 seven-day-week average and is non-taxable income. This benefit amount is mandated by the State of New Hampshire.
