Near-Infrared Spectroscopy of Supernovae
Researchers at Dartmouth
College have recently begun an aggressive
campaign to map out the Near-Infrared (NIR) properties of all types of
supernovae. Using the MDM 2.4m Hiltner Telescope, and TIFKAM (a.k.a. ONIS) an
infrared imager/spectrograph,
the Supernova Group at Dartmouth is
obtaining Near-Infrared spectra and images of bright supernovae.
