Official Transcript Information

Dartmouth College students and alumni order official transcripts online. Exchange and special community students contact registrar@dartmouth.edu to request a transcript.

Dartmouth has partnered with Parchment, Inc. to deliver official paper transcripts as of July 17, 2017. Two options are available:

Official eTranscript

  • No additional charge
  • Fastest method of delivery – typically delivered within one business day
  • Delivered in certified PDF format via secure download
  • Available to current students and alumni from the class of 1986 and after

Official Paper Transcript

  • Processed within two business days; delivery time is dependent on the delivery method chosen
    • USPS First-Class Mail - $5.00 each
    • USPS International - $10.00 each
    • FedEx express delivery - $27.50 each
    • FedEx International express delivery - $50.00 each

Is there a charge for official transcripts?

There is no additional charge for official eTranscripts. There is a charge for each official paper transcript dependent on delivery method:

  • USPS First-Class Mail - $5.00 each
  • USPS International - $10.00 each
  • FedEx express delivery - $27.50 each
  • FedEx International express delivery - $50.00 each

 

Do I get updates for my order?

You will receive emails to confirm receipt of your order, and to confirm that the order has been shipped. Direct any questions about the receipt of a transcript to the recipient of the transcript.

 

How many transcripts can I order at one time?

You can request up to 10 transcripts in a single order.

 

How many recipients can I send transcripts to at one time?

You can request transcripts for up to 10 recipients. At the end of Step 3 – Order Details, select Continue Shopping to add additional transcripts and recipients.

 

Can I order a transcript before final grades are available for a term to be delivered after they are posted?

Yes. Select “Hold for Grades – Yes” in the Order Details section of your request.

 

Can I order a transcript before my degree is awarded to be delivered after it is posted?

Yes. Select “Hold for Degree – Yes” in the Order Details section of your request.

 

Can I include an attachment with my request?

Yes. The eTranscript can include an attachment up to 5 megabytes in size. We recommend a 10-page limit for paper transcript attachments. Total page count is limited to 16, including the transcript and any citations.

 

How do I send an eTranscript to AMCAS or another participating “CAS” organization?

Enter the name of the participating “CAS” organization as the recipient at Step 2 of the order process. The system will prompt you to provide any additional information.

 

How do I enter my AAMC ID and AAMC Transcript ID?

Once you select AMCAS as the recipient, the system will prompt you to provide your AAMC ID and AAMC Transcript ID.

 

How can I indicate that my name changed since I attended?

Include “Name While in Attendance” in the Order Details section of your request.

 

Why is there a Delivery Mode button and what does it mean?

Please ignore this button. We have asked the vendor to remove it.

 

Does Physical Education credit appear on an official transcript?

Physical Education credit does not appear on the official transcript.

 

If I have an inactive status (e.g., leave, withdrawn, etc.) and no holds on my transcript, how do I request a transcript?

I attended a graduate or professional school at Dartmouth. How do I request a transcript?

To request a transcript from Dartmouth's graduate and professional schools, please contact the appropriate school:

 

I am a member of a Dartmouth class prior to 1986. Can I get an eTranscript?

The official eTranscript is only available to students and alumni in the classes of 1986 and later. Because of this limitation, alumni in the classes of 1985 and prior may order an official paper transcript at no additional charge.
