BARE (2003)

We decided to name this album "Bare" because that's exactly what it is. While an a cappella group may choose to "touch up" their sound when putting together a CD, the Rockapellas decided to alter our sound as little as possible in the studio, avoiding sound effects or any other kind of distortion to the basic sound. Thus, we kept our sound "bare" and true to the real music we create.

VELVET ROCKS (1999)

One of the trails on the Appalaichan Trail is called "Velvet Rocks", which served as the inspiration for the name of our fourth album. We thought that Velvet Rocks was an especially fitting because the Appalaichan Trail is so close to Dartmouth and because the outdoors play such an integral role in the lives of many Rockapellas as well as the Dartmouth community.

THINK ON THESE THINGS (1996)

The song "Wanting Memories," by Sweet Honey in the Rock, was the source of our third album title, Think On These Things. This phrase exemplifies our desire to simultaneously convey social awareness, human freedom and expression through song.
