Hanover, though located in the wilds
of New Hampshire, is fairly easily accessible by plane, train or
bus. The closest airport, Lebanon Regional airport, is a tiny airstrip
about a ten minute taxi ride from Hanover. Unfortunately, as of
this time, only US Air operates there. Boston's Logan Airport and
the Manchester Airport are two larger options that offer more variety
and flexibility located between 60 to 120 minutes from campus. From
Boston, there is a Dartmouth Coach Shuttle from Logan Airport
to Hanover. From Manchester, NH you can rent a car and follow the
Boston directions.
Driving Directions from Boston: Take I-93 North to I-89 North.
Get off at exit 18 and take Route 120 West to Hanover. Coming into
Hanover from this direction brings you to a "Y" intersection at
a stoplight with a gas station and grocery store on the right hand
side. Bearing right and going through the light at the "Y" and take
a left at the SECOND stoplight (do not count the one at the "Y"
intersection). That will bring you to the Hanover Inn (on left),
with the town green on the right.
Driving Directions from Burlington, VT: Take I-89 South to
exit 18 and follow the directions into Hanover that are listed in
the "Boston" option above.
From Points connecting via I-91: Follow I-91 to Exit 13.
Follow signs into Hanover NH. Go over the bridge crossing the Connecticut
River at the top of the hill is a four-way stoplight go straight,
the Hanover Inn is immediately on the right.
