Dartmouth College's Policy on Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity (nondiscrimination) is as follows:
1. Affirmative Action: Nonexempt vendors/suppliers/subcontractors shall comply as appropriate with Executive Orders 11246 and 11375 as amended from time to time and the rules and regulations promulgated there under, including the provisions set forth in 41CFR parts 60-1.4, 60-250.4, and 60-741.4.
2. Equal Opportunity: During the performance of this order or subcontract the Seller agrees as follows: The Seller will not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, or status as a disabled or Vietnam era veteran. The Seller will take affirmative action to ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated during employment without regard to race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, or status as a disabled or Vietnam era veteran. Such action shall include but not be limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer, recruitment, or recruitment advertising, layoff or termination, rates of pay or other forms of compensation, and selection for training including apprenticeship.
3. All vendors shall inform their employees that any lewd actions, verbal or physical and any racial or sexual comments directed towards any individual are strictly prohibited. Any confirmed incident of this type will result in the immediate dismissal of the employee (or employees) involved from the campus permanently. Repeat offenses by a vendor's employees (not necessarily the same employee) may lead to the cancellation of orders and/or agreements with the vendor and/or removal of the vendor from future bid considerations at Dartmouth College.
4. All vendors or contractors must be in compliance with the above and by acceptance of an order or bid you agree to conformance.
