Interests

My research program investigates the neural and hormonal control of behavior.  Currently we are examining sexual motivation in female rats with a focus on the contributions of genitosensory inputs to the display of mating behaviors and sexual reward. A second line of research is aimed at determining the signaling pathways (androgen receptor, estrogen receptor) necessary for the heightened display of intermale aggression in male mice administered anabolic androgenic steroids.
