          A Marker

To the soul of our father, our teacher our Rav [stunned]
His heart upright [meaning unknown]
He walked in purity our teacher our Rabbi Joseh
The son of our teacher our Rabbi Aaron Polaravitz
He departed on the 1st day of Rosh Hodesh Kislev
In the Year 5648 (1888), he so departed
May his soul be bound in the bonds of life
