To: President's Administrative Forum
I'm very pleased to announce that Jason Merrill has been selected to be the
new Executive Chef for the Hanover Inn.
A native of the Green Mountain State, Jason spent several years in Arizona
earning glowing accolades as Chef de Cuisine at LON's at the Hermosa, a Zagat
"Top 25" restaurant in Scottsdale. His experience also includes the kitchens of
Alessandro Stratta the Phoenician and Michael's at the Citadel, where he worked
with celebrity chef Michael DeMaria.
Most recently Jason has been preparing some of the northeast's most
distinctive cuisine as the Executive Chef at the Jackson House Inn and
Restaurant in West Woodstock. He has a passion for seeking locally foraged and
grown foods, and visiting local farms to select locally raised beef, pork, lamb
and poultry - all in abundance in the Upper Valley.
When not in the kitchen, Jason can be found delivering for Meals on Wheels,
skiing, or four-wheeling exploring the backwoods of Vermont. Jason lives in
Hartland with his wife Katie and their son Jacob.
