From: James Wright, President

To: Members of the President's Administrative Forum

Dear Colleagues,

I want to share with you the exciting news that the Loomis Chaffee school (in Windsor, Connecticut) has appointed Sheila Culbert as their new head of school, effective July 1, 2008.

This is an excellent move for Loomis Chaffee, an exciting opportunity for Sheila, and it will mean a big loss for Dartmouth. As a faculty member in the history department as well as a member of the administrative team in the Dean of Faculty office, the Provost office, and, for the last nine years, in the President's office, Sheila has contributed so much to the quality of the Dartmouth experience. For the last year she has stepped up and has served as vice president for communications at a complicated time—and has done an exceptional job. Dartmouth is grateful to her as am I personally. Susan and I wish her well in this wonderful new assignment.
