Bode is returning as a Senior Fellow for her second year in the Office of the President and will continue with her work on Dartmouth global health initiatives, including the Dartmouth Haiti Response. Prior to the Fellowship, Bode served as Dartmouth student body president in 2008-2009 and as the sole student member on the Presidential Search Committee for the College’s 17th president, Jim Yong Kim. She is also currently president of the Dartmouth Class of 2009. As a student, she majored in biology modified with film and studied ethics and global health. In addition, she studied abroad in Paris on the French Foreign Study Program. On campus, she was involved in various activities, including Dartmouth Outing Club First-Year Trips, Kappa Delta Epsilon sorority, and the Polocrosse Club. Bode has enjoyed working with individuals with diabetes as a volunteer at Camp Kudzu and as a medic during the “Race Across America” for “Team Type One.” She plans to pursue a career in global health.
