artmouth Water Polo had a very successful 2013 season, earning fourth in the nation among club teams. The team aims to maintain its competitive tradition, which has seen it finish within the top two spots of the conference each of the past eight seasons and 1st place amongst Ivy League club teams last season. With a deep roster, and many returning players, Dartmouth Water Polo has the potential for another successful season. The team will work hard to ensure a top place in the New England Division next year.
Dartmouth Water Polo works extremely hard for its short season, with preseason training camp during the Summer-Fall interim and off-campus practices at White River Junction's Upper Valley Aquatic Center (UVAC), which generously allows the team to use its 25-meter all-deep pool.
Because some of the teams players are also highly competitive swimmers on Dartmouth's varsity team, Dartmouth Water Polo will be limited to weekly practices for the winter term. The team will return to regular practices in the spring.
Though water polo at Dartmouth is a club sport, the team trains rigorously and as hard as varsity programs. The team is open to all students of the College or any of its graduate programs.
