Personal Achievement Through Teamwork

Competitive water polo demands intelligence, strength, stamina, skill, and above all, consistent teamwork. The superb quality of Dartmouth's academic, athletic, and social life provides an ideal environment for water polo excellence.

Dartmouth water polo has a long, proud history that stretches back to the 1920s. The 1931 squad captured the Intercollegiate Association Championship. While water polo has changed significantly since the early days, Dartmouth still fields championship teams. Dartmouth is widely acknowledged as having one of the nation's best programs. Both a men's and a women's team compete intercollegiately for the College, with more than 30 Dartmouth men and women participating. Coach Randy Budner heads both teams.
