The Department of Physics and Astronomy at Dartmouth College seeks applicants for a faculty position in experimental condensed matter physics at the assistant professor level. The candidate should have a record of accomplishment that demonstrates the ability to establish a vigorous externally funded research program that complements existing efforts in condensed matter and quantum physics at Dartmouth. Areas of interest include strongly correlated systems; mesoscopic and nanoscale physics; quantum information processing; and atomic, molecular and optical physics. He or she will be expected to engage graduate and undergraduate students in research as well as in the classroom.

Applicants should submit a CV including a full list of publications, statements of research and teaching interests, and the names and addresses of at least four references to the following address: Faculty Search, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Dartmouth College, 6127 Wilder Laboratory, Hanover, NH 03755-3528, USA.

For full consideration, hard copy applications should arrive by December 1, 2011. Dartmouth College is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer. We encourage applications from women and underrepresented scientists.
