Lab Activities

Students measure the half-life of Ag-108 and Ag-110 formed from the neutron bombardment of silver foil. Techniques for the handling of data from nuclear counting measurements are introduced. Results tend to be within 2% for Ag-108 and within 5% for Ag-110.

Course Level

Introductory: P17, P23, P24
