Only electronic applications and recommendation letters will be accepted.

Complete the online application. System requirements are listed below:
- You will need a web browser that has Javascript activated.
- Supported web browsers include Internet Explorer 5 and above, Netscape 6 and above, Safari (for Macintosh users), and Firefox.
- Do not use AOL's internal browser.
- Pop-up blockers should be disabled.
- You must logout of the online application after each session.

Arrange to have three of your instructors or
research supervisors electronically submit
letters of recommendation for you using the
on-line application system.

Have a complete transcript of your undergraduate record mailed directly from your university or
college to:

The Graduate Record Examination, both the
Aptitude (Verbal, Quantitative, Analytic) and
Advanced Physics exams, are required. Arrange to
have your scores sent to Dartmouth. The GRE code
for the Department is 0808. The school code is
3351.

Applicants whose native language is not English should also take the TOEFL with the
original TOEFL (as well as GRE) scores sent to the department from the ETS.
Completed applications are due by January 15. The review process will begin in late January.
