Serves 6 – 8
This french toast is prepared the night before, and is baked in its own brown sugar syrup. Serve it as-is, or with fresh berries on top.

1/2 c butter
1 c brown sugar
2 Tbs dark corn syrup
1 loaf French bread, cut in thick slices
5 eggs
1-1/2 c milk
2 tsp vanilla
pinch nutmeg
