Sigma Delta was founded in May 1977 as a chapter of the Sigma Kappa national sorority and was the first sorority established at Dartmouth. The house went local in the fall of 1988. The purpose of Sigma Delta shall be to provide a place where women can come together to share their individuality and build strong sisterhood that fosters an atmosphere of support, respect, and friendship.
