September 30, 1978 at Dartmouth, though the orginial chapter of Kappa was
on October 13, 1870 at Monmouth College in Ohio.
- Kappa Kappa Gamma is an organization of women, which seeks for every member throughout
her life bonds of friendship, mutual support, opportunities for self-growth, respect for
intellectual development, and an understanding of and an allegiance to positive ethical principles.
- Kappa's philantropy is focused on David's House and Genesis Elder Care Center in
Lebanon.
- There are 130 active Kappa chapters and more than 186,000 Kappa's have been initiated since 1870.
