barry hashimoto
Barry Hashimoto enjoys studying international relations, comparative
politics, political theory, the French and Russian languages, physical
geology and geomorphology, reading short stories by Pushkin, Poe,
Borges, H. James, Salinger, Thurber, poetry by Auden, Rexroth, R.
Lowell and W.C. Williams, climbing cold icy mountains, climbing warm
rocky mountains, cross country skiing in thick forests with dry powder,
hiking in the desert, flying over the ocean, writing adventure
narratives, hearing the pixies bossanova every day and every night,
feeling the ocean, dancing Argentine tango on Friday nights, going to
the opera, checking out a new jazz album from the library every day,
shooting in black and white, and amassing an unreasonable collection of
library books in his room. He has been a member of the house
since 2004.
