For the period December 1 to December 31, 2008, the Payroll Office will not accept requests for tax treaty withholding exemptions covering payments for the 2008 tax year. If you feel you are entitled to claim a tax treaty withholding exemption for payments made to you in 2008, you will still be able to claim the exemption when you complete your 2008 tax return.
