As noted above, each proposal is reviewed by staff in the OSP. The required pieces of the proposal (as outlined below) should be delivered to the OSP at least two (2) working days prior to the submission of the proposal. Staff in the OSP review the proposal, looking for assurance that it complies with federal regulations, and College policies and procedures, and that the proposal adheres to the requirements/guidelines of the funding agency. The two days requested by Office of Sponsored Projects provides sufficient time to ensure that all other College approvals are in order and that there is sufficient time to make any needed changes to the proposal. The OSP and the Principal Investigator share the responsibility of assuring that the submitted proposal is complete and accurate. To expedite this review, the following items , completed and signed by the appropriate officials, need to be included when the proposal is submitted to the OSP:
