The National Research Program and the Grater Midwest, Heartland and Pacific Mountain Affiliates announce research funding opportunities for July 2005 deadlines. The AHA offers Predoctoral, and Postdoctoral fellowships, Scientist Development Grants, Beginning Grant-in-Aid, Established Investigators Award, and Grant-in-Aid programs.

AHA Pharmaceutical Roundtable Award

The American Heart Association Pharmaceutical Roundtable Award is to stimulate career development in investigators interested in implementation research in primary and secondary prevention, outcomes and quality of care.

Cardiovascular Medical Research and Education Fund

This fund is to stimulate formation of a network of research centers, and to develop an Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension database that will become available to the scientific community for use as a research tool. The study of IPAH presents opportunities to investigators working at levels ranging from molecular to clinical, in the fields of pharmacology, physiology, genetics, genomics, medicine, surgery, epidemiology, statistics, bioinformatics, and computational biology.
