The Department of Health & Human Services is making $4.8 million available for 12 awards of up to $400,000 per year for up to 3 years to expand community-based substance abuse treatment and help local recovery facilities to expand their substance abuse services.
Insider's tip: "Community" is the key word for this program, which is specifically set up to provide support for local organizations — including grass-roots, faith-and-community-based treatment programs and recovery "community" organizations. Funding is designed to meet the needs of individual communities in cities, towns, counties and multi-county partnerships.
