Welcome to Dartmouth College's implementation of the National Science Foundation's FastLane System, an experimental program utilizing advanced information technology to explore methods to re-design and streamline the way NSF does business with the research and education communities.
The specific goal of FastLane is to experiment with ways to use the World Wide Web to facilitate business transactions and exchange of information between the National Science Foundation and its client community including researchers, reviewers, research administrators, and others doing business with NSF. There are many functions included in the FastLane project, and several functions are specific to Principal Investigators (PI's).
The purpose of this page is to help you begin utilizing the resources available under FastLane. If you are already familiar with FastLane, and have your Personal Identification Number (PIN), then click here to go directly to FastLane. Otherwise, you will need to obtain a PIN number.
Please contact the FastLane Administrator in the Office of Sponsored Projects for more information about this option.
Most FastLane function require the use of a PIN number to protect the privacy of each principal investigator. All Dartmouth College faculty who have an active NSF award, or who have submitted a proposal to NSF within the last two years, have been pre-loaded into the FastLane database. Faculty who are already in the FastLane database need only to initialize their PIN number to begin using FastLane.
