At the end of the online application, you will be prompted to provide a Statement of Purpose.

We strongly encourage you to write your Statement of Purpose in Microsoft Word or a similar program prior to completing the application, then cut and paste your Statement into the form when you log on to complete and submit the application.***
The Statement of Purpose is an essay of 500 - 700 words that tells us why you want to be a UGA. This is your opportunity to tell us about you. You should mention the student population that interests you most (First-Year, Upperclass, etc.) and why.
If you are not sure where to begin, you can consider the following questions to help you craft your Statement of Purpose. However, we encourage you to be creative and to share what is most meaningful to you regarding your interest in becoming a UGA.
