Ten steps to a great
faculty/student program
Step 1:
Think of a great idea that brings together students and faculty members,
outside of the classroom.
Step 2:
Plan what you will need for the program (food, space, supplies,
participants). If you are a student asking one or more faculty members to
attend, make sure you check with the professors to make sure that they are
available to attend the program and are willing to participate.
Step 3:
If you need it, ask for help in planning a program, inviting faculty or
students to attend, or thinking of an idea. Contact Rachel Head (Rachel.L.Head@dartmouth.edu) for
assistance.
Step 4
If you are a student, apply for Faculty Engagement Programming by
filling out a Program
Proposal. If you are a member of the faculty or an administrator,
please contact Rachel Head (Rachel.L.Head@dartmouth.edu)
to propose program funding.
Step 5:
Once you receive approval for your faculty engagement program, ADVERTISE
your program to your audience and your residential community. ***Do this only
AFTER you receive programming funding approval***
Step 6:
Implement your faculty engagement program!
Step 7:
HAVE FUN….interact with faculty and students who are attending your
program.
Step 8:
Once it is all over, thank all of your participants for attending your
program.
Step 9:
Complete a student
program evaluation or faculty
program evaluation.
Step 10:
Think of another great idea…
