Step 1: |
Think of a great idea that brings together students and faculty members outside of the classroom that will increase students' comfort level in accessing faculty. |
Step 2: |
Plan what you will need for the program (food, space, supplies, participants). If you are a student asking one or more faculty members to attend, check with the professors to make sure that they are available to attend the program and are willing to participate. |
Step 3: |
If you need it, ask for help in planning a program, inviting faculty or students to attend, or thinking of an idea. Contact Brittany Medlin (Brittany.Medlin@dartmouth.edu) for assistance. |
Step 4 |
If you are a student, apply for Faculty Engagement Programming by filling out a Program Proposal. If you are a member of the faculty or an administrator, please contact Brittany Medlin (Brittany.Medlin@dartmouth.edu) to propose program funding. |
Step 5: |
Once you receive approval for your faculty engagement program, ADVERTISE your program to your audience and your residential community. ***Do this only AFTER you receive programming funding approval*** |
Step 6: |
Implement your faculty engagement program! |
Step 7: |
HAVE FUN….interact with faculty and students who are attending your program. |
Step 8: |
Before the program ends, have all PARTICIPANTS fill out a participant evaluation form for the program. Evaluations are available online, from Brittany Medlin or a Community Director. Successful completion and return of evaluations are critical to being considered for funding in the future. |
Step 9: |
Once it is all over, thank all of your participants for attending your program. |
Step 10: |
Please fill out the organizer program evaluation and ask your faculty member(s) to fill out a faculty program evaluation. |
Step 11: |
Think of another great idea… |
