Awards GLOS Awards 2014: Austin Major '14, won the Outstanding Chapter President Award. GLOS Awards 2013: Chi Heorot received a Brotherhood/Sisterhood Program Award for the 'Better Brother Initiative' program. President, Cole Sulser '13, won an Athletic All-star Award. Phillip Gordon '13, won a Kaiser Award, given to students who have most exemplified the ideals and principles of Dartmouth College
History Alpha Alpha Omega was founded in 1897 as a local fraternity and in 1902 was granted a charter as the Chi chapter of the national Chi Phi fraternity. In 1968, the house dissociated from the national fraternity, and adopted the name Chi Phi Heorot. They re-joined Chi Phi national in 1981. In 1987, the brotherhood opted to become a local fraternity with the name of Chi Heorot
Philanthropy Philanthropy: Founded by a Brother of Chi Heorot, Dartmouth Feeding Neighbors is a non-profit program that recovers unused food from dining halls and local restaurants before delivering it to food and homeless shelters in the Upper Valley. A significant number of Brothers volunteer for the program, as well as various other community service projects in the local community.
More information about us The Brothers of Chi Heorot pride themselves on athletic and academic success, service to the community, entrepreneurial prowess, and social inclusiveness. Athletic Success: The vast majority of Brothers participate in varsity athletics, including baseball, ice hockey, skiing, rowing, and tennis. Heorot is well represented in professional baseball and professional hockey, as well as the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.
