How does this assessment project interact with other assessment efforts on campus?

  • This assessment project is collaborative with other assessment efforts being conducted throughout the Dean of the College area and the College in general.
  • One of the foremost divisional priorities for the Dean of the College is to help and support student organizations; the ORL/CEdO project is part of the wider divisional assessment efforts in the Dean of the College area.
  • CEdO has responsibility for ensuring that the project is conducted in compliance with the Institutional Review Board’s guidelines.  Furthermore, CEdO has carefully outlined confidentiality procedures when working with data, as well as ethical standards for its staff.
  • Data will be collected from multiple sources; data that has already been collected elsewhere within the College will be obtained from those sources rather than duplicating efforts. For example, with the cooperation and permission of several administrative departments, and the technical support of Administrative Computing, CEdO is acquiring data from the Banner database.
