Why use the Center for Educational Outcomes?
- The ORL has chosen CEdO as an assessment partner because of its proven ability to develop tools which measure changes in perceptions, values, and attitudes-important dimensions of learning that have been regarded, until recently, as unmeasurable, and yet a discrete aspect of transformational learning.
- CEdO operates with ties to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Dartmouth Medical School, Thayer School of Engineering, and Amos Tuck School of Business in order to focus on the assessment and development of educational outcomes through a multi-disciplinary approach and an exceptional level of technological sophistication.
- CEdO prides itself in guaranteeing that projects will be developed based on clear national and international needs, with the goal of broad distribution of the resulting systems in a sustainable way for the future. This assessment project holds with it an opportunity to contribute new knowledge and practice to a body of current research. Nowhere in higher education has an effective method been produced for consistently using standards to elicit a higher performance for Greek letter organizations. This project will lay a foundation to move the practice of student affairs work forward in a significant way.
- Previous successes in using CEdO’s type of feedback system have helped their clients learn how to develop and maintain excellence in their educational processes and improve the ways in which the needs of learners are met.
