History
The Theta Psi chapter of Alpha Xi Delta was founded as Delta Pi Omega in 1997. On January 6, 1997, the local sorority was officially recognized by the College. On July 2, 1997 the sisters voted to affiliate with the Alpha Xi Delta national sorority. On February 21, 1998, the local organization's petition was approved by the national with a charter as the Theta Psi chapter Of Alpha Xi Delta. Alpha Xi Delta initially occupied the house currently home to Beta Alpha Omega. In the fall of 2009, the members of Alpha Xi Delta moved into a newly renovated house at 17 East Wheelock Street.
Philanthropy
Nationally, Alpha Xi Delta's philanthropic partner is Autism Speaks. Our chapter supports this cause by raising both money and awareness through a variety of different activities, including our Rose Benefit for Autism Speaks, bake sales, and events throughout National Autism Awareness Month.
Locally, we partner with The Haven Shelter and Memory Cafe.  Our sisters help plan and coordinate Memory Cafe each month, a social group for Alzheimer's patients and their families.  Alpha Xi Delta sisters also participate in a variety of other philanthropic activities, from fundraising dinners and blood drives to numerous charitable events in the community.
Each summer, we field a team for the Prouty, which benefits the Norris Cotton Cancer Center and in the spring, sisters participate in Relay for Life to benefit the American Cancer Society. We are very committed as a house in our support of causes that our own sisters are passionate about on and off campus, such as Habitat for Humanity and the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

Chapter Mission:
We, the sisters of the Theta Psi chapter of Alpha Xi Delta at Dartmouth College, pledge to uphold a welcoming community based on acceptance of all beliefs, sexual orientations, races, ethnicities, political affiliations, national origins, genders, socioeconomic statuses, and abilities.
Not only do we pledge to uphold these values in our own community, we pledge to hold others accountable to these standards as well.
We will not remain silent bystanders in the face of intolerance, disrespect, or discrimination.
As the sisters of Alpha Xi Delta, we hold ourselves accountable to the highest standards of human decency, and strive to foster a strong, open community both inside and outside the walls of our physical space.
