The renovation of New Hampshire Hall included the following elements:
Decompress over-crowded rooms
Provide increased lounge, study and kitchen spaces for the students
Reconfigure student bedrooms to maximize efficiency
Install sprinkler system
Provide two enclosed egress stairs for fire safety
Improve accessibility compliance including front and rear entrances, elevator, accessible sleeping rooms, bathrooms and fire alarm equipment
Perform asbestos abatement
Upgrade bathrooms to replace aging plumbing while improving fixture count and student privacy
Replace all windows with energy efficient replacement sash
Upgrade electrical service and distribution
Provide new heat distribution
Upgrade building envelope, including insulation of exterior masonry walls
Perform general maintenance upgrades including carpet, doors and hardware, plaster repairs, interior and exterior painting, exterior brick repair and furniture replacement
