Project at a Glance
The renovation program for New Hampshire Hall is comprised of the following
elements:
- Decompress over-crowded rooms
- Provide increased lounge, study and kitchen spaces for the students
- Reconfigure student bedrooms to maximize efficiency
- Install sprinkler system
- Provide two enclosed egress stairs for fire safety
- Improve accessibility compliance including front and rear entrances,
elevator, accessible sleeping rooms, bathrooms and fire alarm equipment
- Perform asbestos abatement
- Upgrade bathrooms to replace aging plumbing while improving fixture count
and student privacy
- Replace all windows with energy efficient replacement sash
- Upgrade electrical service and distribution
- Provide new heat distribution
- Upgrade building envelope, including insulation of exterior masonry
walls
- Perform general maintenance upgrades including carpet, doors and hardware,
plaster repairs, interior and exterior painting, exterior brick repair and
furniture replacement
