Construction Update, February 23, 2007
The abatement and demolition contractor, Dec-Tam, has completed abatement
and demolition, leaving the interior stripped down to brick, concrete, and
steel. Small amounts of interior work are ongoing as Pizzagalli Construction
Company reviews bids and begins to mobilize on site.
Please note that the walkway between Gile and Hitchcock will be modified to
improve drainage soon.
Construction Update, January 15, 2007
The hazardous materials abatement is proceeding ahead of schedule, and
should be completed by February 1, 2007. There will still be odds and ends of
clean demolition and cleanup to take care of after that, and when those last
pieces are complete, actual construction will commence.
Construction Update, November 27, 2006
The building is currently undergoing abatement, after which the interior
demolition and renovation will begin. Construction fencing has been installed,
along with a temporary walk between Hitchcock and Gile Halls.
