Local First Alliance
Local First Alliance created last summer by a group of independent business and non-profit leaders in the Upper Valley. The mission is to:
-
Create a strong and sustainable local economy that benefits all Upper Valley residents;
-
Enhance the vitality and social responsibility of locally-owned, independent businesses and community based non-profits;
-
Build a strong community with active arts and cultural organizations; and
-
Protect and preserve the ecological system upon which we all rely.
In February 2009, the Local First Alliance approved its name, agreed to become a member of Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, affiliate with Vital Communities and opened a bank account
