Almost Car-Free Community
Colin Smith from Resource Systems Group and the co-chair of the Lebanon Master Plan Transportation subcommittee sent around this very interesting article from yesterday’s NYT about an (almost) car free
residential development in Germany. How about trying a similar experiment here in the Upper Valley?

College Campuses Affordable Travel Destinations
The travel section of last weekend’s NY Times promotes the campus as an affordable, interesting travel destination. It’s true that college/universities offer many of the great features of small towns. I like the guy who visited his 500th campus last fall. He’s been “bagging” campus cafeterias since the 1980s. It’s not quite the same as “bagging the 4,000 footers” in the Whites but obviously he enjoys it.
