OPAL provides a variety of functions designed to support students' academic success, leadership development, cultural enrichment, and community engagement.  OPAL also works to enhance the cultural competency of the Dartmouth community by providing consultation, workshops, and training for campus colleagues and departments.


Leadership Development

Building student leadership skills through programs, workshops, retreats, and internships.


Student Advising & Outreach
Supporting the holistic development of students through individual advising, community outreach, and support programs.


Dialogue & Community-Building

Enhancing cross-cultural exchanges by facilitating respectful sharing of information, resources, and experiences.


Cultural Programming
Delivering campus-wide programs that affirm, celebrate, and raise awareness of the rich cultural diversity of the Dartmouth community.


Achieving Community Together (ACT)
Coordinating the Dean of the College Division's response to bias incidents in order make it a learning opportunity for all.


Employee Training and Campus Consulting

Sharing expertise with campus colleagues and departments  through ongoing consultation and training.
