Intergroup Dialogue (IGD) engages Dartmouth students in authentic conversations about difficult topics. Using a sustained and structured model and following a six-week curriculum, IGD brings students together in face-to-face facilitated interactions across social identity groups. Through story sharing, reflective prompts, and group collaboration, IGD fosters a unique learning environment that encourages students to explore issues of identity, diversity, and inequity while building skill for and commitment to social responsibility and action. Sessions are offered in fall and winter terms. All sections meet once per week, for six weeks in total, and each session is 2 hours in duration.
