For new users: What do I
need to do to get access to the financial systems?
The financial environment at Dartmouth has changed dramatically over the years. Growing transaction volumes as well as increasing complexity and diversity of financial operations at the College have highlighted the need for change. The OASIS project addresses this change by transforming the way financial information is accessed and managed at Dartmouth. By replacing dated technology with new hardware and software, the project seeks to gain efficiencies through streamlining processes. In addition, it provides greater access to integrated financial data which, in turn, strengthens decision making institution-wide.
OASIS introduces a new chart of accounts, a new general ledger, a new grants accounting system and new reporting tools. These changes have far-reaching consequences affecting people in every department, from those who monitor spending and revenue to others who simply use an account number to charge an expense.
The goals of the OASIS project include:
When complete, the project will significantly enhance the way Dartmouth manages financial resources throughout the College and professional schools. End users across the College play a critical role in the success of the project and it is important that everyone get involved.
