Welcome to the Biomedical NMR Research Center
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center
Welcome to the Dept. of Diagnostic Radiology, Biomedical NMR Research Center at Dartmouth Medical School. We are an interdisciplinary group which uses a SMIS Spectrometer with a horizontal bore 7T Magnex magnet as our main system. We also use 2 1.5T GE SIGNA scanners (Diagnostic Radiology) and have access to 300 and 500MHz vertical bore Varian systems (Chemistry). The lab gets its name from the fact that I believe it to be the highest placed MR lab above ground (we are on the 7th floor of a tower!). Our interests center around the use of animal models to study metabolic disorders, especially those disorders linked to hypoxia and oxygen utilization.

The NMR laboratory is also the NMR service center and is available on a fee for service basis to outside individuals. Dr. Dunn is the Director of the center. Internal resources are available for pilot projects.
