Food drive to benefit Upper Valley Haven

Posted 01/19/01

Fans who attend the Dartmouth-Albany men's basketball game at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 20 are asked to bring a nonperishable food item-such as a can of soup or box of cereal-to Leede Arena.

The Dartmouth men's basketball team is organizing its third annual food drive to benefit The Haven's food pantry.

Located in White River Junction, Vt., The Haven is a nonprofit organization assisting people in both New Hampshire and Vermont. In addition to the food pantry, the Haven also helps the homeless and offers life skills.

In return for a donation, fans may register for a raffle that will take place at halftime, featuring tickets to an upcoming game, Dartmouth merchandise, autographed yearbooks and team photos.

Pre-game, food may be dropped off at the tables in the lobby area.

Tickets for the Dartmouth-Albany game can be purchased at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m. or by calling the Dartmouth Athletic Ticket Office, (603) 646-2466.

Dartmouth has television (satellite uplink) and radio (ISDN) studios available for domestic and international live and taped interviews. For more information, call 603-646-3661 or see our Radio, Television capability webpage.
